Universal design is a model for developing and implementing methods, media, and materials that meet the needs and preferences of all learners, including students with disabilities. By integrating flexible, usable, and accessible learning technologies with research-based teaching practices, we can effectively support and foster standards-based achievement for all learners. This course is grounded in the construction of concepts, knowledge, and strategies for using technology, including one-to-one computing, to close achievement gaps among students. The target audience of the course includes general and special educators, educational technicians, and technology and curriculum directors. Teams from the same school or district are highly encouraged.
