Marisol

Marisol's group is researching the impact of population growth on climate. She has chosen to compare and contrast the impact of population growth on the climate of the Blue Mountains' to that of her native region, the mountains of Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl in Mexico, and to create a conceptual map of her findings.

Marisol uses a specialized text-to-speech software program that reads electronic text resources, including Web sites, aloud. The program allows Marisol to hear text read aloud in either English or Spanish with correct pronunciation and audible dictionaries. After conducting her research, Marisol uses concept mapping software to customize a template for demonstrating her understanding.
