Sister Anne, RSM

"Through your work another window has opened onto the world for me. Because of multiple sclerosis I am now paralyzed and am finding a voice-operated computer to be a real Godsend." [AllTech technicians were able to update Sister Anne's computer, install a WebPhone, and orient Sister Anne to the new software.] "My delight with this reality is without limit! It is marvelous to simply decide to make a phone call and accomplish that. My first call was to my mother, age 89, and she was every bit as excited as I was. Thank you for making this new outreach possible for me and for others living with disability. You know all too well how much this assistance means to us. Thank you for your vision and for your generosity. I often ponder the Scripture passage which reads "Power is made perfect in infirmity." Your work helps me understand and certainly adds insight to this Word."

Sincerely, Sister Anne

Gregory

Gregory is a high school student who has Moya Moya syndrome. He is nonverbal, making it imperative that he have a device that allows him to be able to indicate his medical and other needs at all times. For Gregory, the solution is a DynaMyte 3100 communication device. He uses a combination of vocalizations, interpretive gestures, and the device to make his needs known to others. Having a communication device allows Gregory to interact with his peers which includes working in the school store, where the device makes communication with fellow students possible.

Patricia

Patricia is a wheelchair rider. ALLTech was able to set up a voice-activated computer, and provide Patricia with necessary training. The technology has allowed Patricia to explore the world, correspond with family and policymakers, conduct business, and be a productive individual. Said Patricia: "I can't begin to tell you all the doors it has opened and the freedom it has given me. Now I do not wonder what to do with my time: I work on my computer. Thank you for being there and making this dream a possibility."
