About ALLTECH Program

Our unique and comprehensive array of services, trainings, and research is surpassed only by our passionate commitment to developing a knowledgeable citizenry, educated workforce and improved quality of life.

Background

Founded at the University of Southern Maine campus in the late 1980s, ALLTECH has evolved through several state, regional, and federal initiatives into a nationally recognized center that provides training, consultation, resources, and technical assistance.

ALLTECH has an extensive collection of assistive technologies and software.  Staff competencies include Assistive Technologist, Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLPs), and Equipment Technician. Each are excited about the possibilities technology presents and are constantly searching for new and innovative technology.

In Spring, 2009 ALLTECH became program of Spurwink's Professional Professional Development Center which offers a variety of general and professional workforce development resources, including but not limited to: training needs assessments; mandatory employee training; courses leading to OQMHP certification; and leadership development. We can develop new curricula to address specific goals or adjust program content to provide more or less focus on particular areas of interest. Hourly, half-day and full-day trainings are available at our Portland-based facility or at an alternative location that is convenient to our customers.
